Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 cup Moong split dal (chilkewali)


  • 1/2 cup rice


  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots


  • 1/2 cup chopped cabbage


  • 1/4 cup chopped French beans


  • 1/4 cup peas (mutter)


  • 1 chopped onion


  • 2 tomatoes


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)


  • 2 green chillies finely chopped


  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp hing (asfoetida)


  • 2 tsp butter


  • 1 tsp salt or as per your taste

Directions

  • Wash rice & Dal. Soak it for 15 minutes. Meanwhile chopped all veggies.
  • Heat ghee in pressure cooker. Add Jeera & hing. Saute until brown. Add chopped onions, tomatoes & all vegetables. Saute for 1-2 minutes. Add rice & Dal. Add all spices. Stir all.
  • Cover the lid. Cook it on medium flame until 1 whistle. Switch off gas. Once steam released open the lid.
  • Serve hot with curd & papad.
